Dr. Catherine Showalter

Bio

Dr. Showalter joined NC State in August 2021. Prior to that, she was a faculty member at Northeastern University. She earned a B.A. from the University of Minnesota and then earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Utah. At Utah, she completed research in the Speech Acquisition Lab and completed a fellowship project for the Office of Undergraduate Research, both of which sparked her interest in helping students and faculty navigate their own research experiences.
