Find Research Abroad
Conducting research abroad is a great way to add research into your time at NC State and combine it with the exploration of a new place and culture. Opportunities exist for any field/discipline at all times of the year, and the experience can also be combined with a study abroad experience. See below how to find research abroad opportunities and learn more.

Finding Research Abroad Opportunities
- Search through the Study Abroad Office’s Pack Abroad Portal. It lists research opportunities too.
- Talk with Study Abroad Office staff about your research abroad interests. They can help you find or arrange opportunities and can help connect you to funding support.
- Search through opportunities provided by outside/third-party programs, but make sure to fill out the appropriate NC State paperwork for using third-party research abroad programs. This will keep you safe and make sure eligible credits transfer. Outside programs include:
- Arcadia University’s Arcadia Abroad Programs
- EUROScholars – Undergraduate Research Opportunities in Europe
- Fulbright Scholars Program
