The OUR encourages NC State students to look beyond our campus and seek out undergraduate research opportunities across the country and abroad during the summer.
There are several tools students can use to help them find these summer research experiences. One is the Nation Science Foundation (NSF) searchable database. NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (aka REU’s) offer a vast range of research possibilities within an array of disciplines.
The Council for Undergraduate Research is a collaborative group who share many exciting and innovative summer research opportunities across a wide array of disciplines. Students may join for free and search the forums and website for opportunities in the summer.
Those searching for STEM focused summer opportunities should also visit Pathways to Science for a searchable list of summer undergraduate research opportunities in STEM disciplines.
Additionally, the OUR will share via email opportunities that it is made aware of, to receive the emails you must join the OUR Google Group. Students must contact the individual sites for information and application materials, the OUR does not oversee applications nor selection of any REU/summer program.
