The Student Summit runs in parallel with the Appalachian Energy Summit and is primarily student led and organized. Come join us for three days of inspiring speakers, networking with industry professionals, and great learning experiences. Our goal is to inspire students to take innovative ideas pertaining to energy and sustainability to their universities and to learn more about energy and sustainability in the region and nation. Participants include undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degree students.
The theme for both the Appalachian Energy Summit and the Student Summit this year is “Leadership for Good”. The cost of attending is completely free, with accommodation and food provided during the Summit.
- $2,400 in cash prizes will be awarded in 4 categories
- Network with industry professionals, leaders, and corporations
- Resumes of competitors will be distributed through NCSEA to 600 prospective employer’s
- Competitors receive FREE access to the Appalachian Energy Summit, including lodging and meals
Topics can include (but are not limited to): efficiency, renewable, technology, education, policy, and environmental impacts. Students must be able to attend the Summit, July 30, 31 & August 1, 2018.
Submit the Student Poster Submission Form by June 1, 2018. Students whose posters are accepted will receive free access to the Summit which includes lodging and meals. Poster setup will take place the afternoon of July 30. Students will be required to be at their posters in the morning and at lunch time on July 31.
